FAQ & Troubleshooting

Common questions about the Witcombe Park Farm map mod and this site. Filenames and pricing—confirm on the author’s current release page.

Do I need Farming Simulator 25?

Yes. Witcombe Park Farm is a map mod for Farming Simulator 25 on PC (64-bit Windows). It is not a separate standalone game. You need a legitimate copy of FS25 installed.

What is the difference between the base map and the “HD / Ultra HD” pack?

The base map is the required download for Witcombe Park Farm (large zip from the author’s official page; often a $0 or “continue to downloads” flow applies). The HD / Ultra HD texture add-on is optional and separate—fixed-price purchase, higher visual quality, more disk space. You do not need HD to play. Details: Download → optional HD.

The map does not show up in the game. What should I check?

Standard install: the mod folder must be named FS25_Witcombe and must sit in your active FS25 mods folder (often Documents\My Games\Farming Simulator 25\mods on Windows). After HD merge: if you re-zipped the mod, the game may not list it if the zip was created from the wrong folder level (only a subfolder inside, not the correct structure). See Download and the merge warning there, and check the pack README from the author.

Should I use the HD pack for multiplayer or on a slow connection?

The standard map (without HD merged in) is much smaller. That is usually easier for multiplayer and slow downloads. The HD add-on is optional and best when you are solo, have free disk space, and are comfortable following merge instructions. See Download and Guide.

“Missing fill types” or production errors

Some crops or productions may need other compatible mods, or a specific load order. Check the Community tab and devlog on the author’s project page for what other players use. This site cannot guarantee a fix for every mod combination.

Is the download safe? Can I get a virus?

Get archives only from Oxygendavid’s official Witcombe Park Farm page. Avoid re-uploads on random file hosts—the official release page is the safe source for filenames and updates.

Is this website official?

No. This is an independent English help site. The map author publishes on their official project page. For support and bug reports, use Community, devlog, and any social links listed there.

Is there a console or mobile version of this map?

This project is a PC mod for FS25. Console or mobile support is not what this page is for—check the author’s project description for supported platforms.

The download is huge and fails halfway.

The map archive is a large download (on the order of 1.6 GB on the official page; exact size can change). Use a stable connection, avoid unreliable mirrors, and resume or re-download from the author’s page if the file is incomplete.
